THEORY OF CHANGE
As a certified, nonprofit CDFI, Working Solutions is a trusted contributor in a collective, community response to wealth inequity.
We use concessionary capital, philanthropic support, and strategic partnerships to originate low-cost loans, deliver restorative grants, and provide business consulting to historically marginalized entrepreneurs, prioritizing low-income individuals, BIPOC, and women, many of whom are at the cross section of several unjust and systemic barriers. We envision a future where all small business owners are financially resilient and strengthen their communities through sustainable entrepreneurship.
Our work provides small business owners—no matter their income level, race, ethnicity, gender, or legal status—with the funding, knowledge, and connections they need to operate thriving and sustainable businesses and to act as catalysts in building generational wealth and vibrant, stable communities.
STRATEGIC PLAN
By 2029, Working Solutions will double our all-time deployment to reach $100 million in small-dollar financing for businesses throughout California.
