Working Solutions Staff Selected for Latina Leadership Programs

Congratulations to Working Solutions Lending Officer Bri Aguilera and Lending Associate Mariana Murcia-Sandoval on being selected for prestigious leadership development programs!

Bri will be joining the 2026 NALCAB Pete Garcia Fellowship, which provides training and professional development for next generation Latino leaders across the country. Mariana will be part of the 2026 ELLA (Engaged Latina Leadership Activist) cohort, a civic engagement, leadership development, and mentorship program of the Latina Coalition of Silicon Valley.

About the Pete Garcia Fellowship

The Pete Garcia Fellowship is NALCAB's flagship program for emerging leaders in the community development field. Established in 2010, the 11-month fellowship equips participants with technical training, leadership development, and peer learning. Fellows strengthen their ability to lead, collaborate, and drive impact within their organizations and the communities they serve. To date, the program has graduated over 200 leaders representing 122 organizations across 27 states, DC, and Puerto Rico.

About the ELLA Program

The Engaged Latina Leadership Activist (ELLA) program cultivates leadership potential and provides resources and opportunities that impact Latinas locally and state-wide. The six-month leadership program was created by the Latina Coalition of Silicon Valley to help Latinas between the ages of 19-29 learn and gain entry-level leadership and civic engagement skills through a series of professional activities, resources and mentoring. The program has been successfully administered for 16+ years and has graduated over 280 Latina women.
