Working Solutions CEO Sara Razavi recently co-authored "The Future of Consolidation in the CDFI Sector," with Michael Swack, Senior Fellow at the Center for Impact Finance at University of New Hampshire.

Drawing on real-world case studies and industry analysis, the research makes the case for proactive collaboration among CDFIs—not as a last resort during financial distress, but as a forward-thinking strategy to achieve greater scale, sustainability, and impact.

The paper addresses common barriers to CDFI partnerships and offers practical recommendations for funders, investors, and policymakers to support thoughtful integration efforts.
