This year, Working Solutions CDFI has teamed up with Chase for Business, U.S. Bank, and Main Street Launch to host a series of events on "Reimagining Access to Capital," designed to empower entrepreneurs of color with the resources and knowledge necessary to navigate the small business capital ecosystem. The series centered around three focus areas: Foundations, Financials, and Freedom.

The first session, held during Black History Month, highlighted the essentials of a strong financial foundation and the lifestyle adjustments needed to build a sustainable business without burnout.

In conjunction with Oakland Small Business Week, the second session focused on helping entrepreneurs gain a better understanding of their finances and make key financial decisions for their small businesses.

The third session commemorated Juneteenth, with a focus on how to achieve financial freedom as a small business owner. Finally, in honor of Black Business Month in August, the panel reprised their conversation on financial freedom for the first virtual installment of the series.
