Working Solutions Awarded $4.1MM ERP Grant through U.S. Treasury’s CDFI Fund

Working Solutions is thrilled to be the recipient of a $4.1MM Equitable Recovery Program (ERP) grant from the U.S. Department of the Treasury's CDFI Fund.

ERP dollars will strengthen the capacity of CDFIs like Working Solutions — primarily through a transformative investment in lending capital — to continue serving financially marginalized communities as they recover from the COVID-19 pandemic and invest in long-term prosperity. As one of the few microlenders nationally to receive such a significant award, this grant is a reflection of Working Solutions' long-standing commitment to increase capital access for diverse entrepreneurs in the earliest stages of business and to support wealth-building through sustainable entrepreneurship.

“When we invest in community lenders, we help build a future where all people—no matter who they are or where they start—have the resources they need not only to succeed but to thrive," said Vice President Kamala Harris. “These grants—representing the largest CDFI grant program in history – will enable hundreds of community lenders to invest in small businesses and entrepreneurs, and also provide home loans for families, financial services for local nonprofits, and capital for community organizations.”

In total, the CDFI Fund awarded over $1.73 billion in grants to 603 Community Development Financial Institutions across the country through the CDFI ERP. Congratulations to our fellow CDFI grantees!
