June Recap: Industry Insight & Community Connections

June was a month focused on expanding partnerships, sharing expertise, and strengthening the community development finance ecosystem. The Working Solutions team participated in conferences, hosted meaningful conversations, and connected with partners across California and beyond. Highlights include:

• OFN Small Business Finance Forum: CEO Sara Razavi and CFO Gasper Magallanes joined over 500 CDFI industry peers in Austin, Texas, sharing expertise on secondary markets for microlenders and portfolio management;

• Credit Builders Alliance Summit: In her role as a member of the Board of Directors for the Credit Builders Alliance and CBA Fund, Working Solutions’ Director of Lending Priscilla Woo attended the 2026 CBA Summit in Virginia;

• NALCE CDFI Forum: CFO Gasper Magallanes was a featured speaker at the Southern California CDFI Forum hosted by the National Alliance of Latino CDFI Executives (NALCE) and NALCAB in Los Angeles;

• BBB Industrious Women's Summit: Business Development Officer Ivan Camacho attended the Better Business BureauIndustrious Women's Summit in Fresno, which featured discussions on leadership, resilience, AI, financial planning, and expanding opportunities for women-owned businesses; and

• Community Events: Community Development team members Anita Russell and Lenesha Toney honored Juneteenth at events for Black entrepreneurs in San Francisco, Oakland, Brentwood, and beyond; and hosted financial management workshops and weekly office hours for Antioch small business owners through the Antioch Business Collaborative.
