Tonya Kent joined Working Solutions in 2018. She holds a BA degree in African-American Studies with an emphasis in nonprofit community development from University of California, Davis, and an AS degree in Human Services. Tonya Kent has twenty years of community development experience. She is a native to California, born and raised in Berkeley. She is an advocate for human rights and gender equality and sits on the board of several Bay Area nonprofits. Tonya was accepted into law school and currently a resident at JFK University completing a paralegal program. She is known for building mentorship programs for marginalized women that have survived domestic abuse and incarceration.
